First, I used to be a registered Republican, voting in every election since 1972. However, I did not vote for Trump in 2016 nor did I vote for Hillary Clinton. Neither deserved my vote. When Trump called Republicans like me who did not vote or support him “Human Scum”, none of the leaders of the party took exception to that derogatory term and came to our defense. I renounced my affiliation with the GOP shortly thereafter. In the 2020 election, I voted straight Democrat as a protest against the GOP.
As for his election fraud comments, Trump again uses unsubstantiated claims and has facilitators around him whose only interest is to gain profit and power. I offer these comments for consideration.
- Trump started talking about election fraud months before the election; “The only way we (he) can lose is if the election was rigged.” This would give any of the so called conspirators of fraud time to prepare and cover their tracks. It would also have provided ample time for his local supporters to get out his vote and insure his poll watchers were in place. So why wasn’t he able to head off this fraud? That’s because it didn’t exist.
- As a former Republican who has denounced my affiliation with the party, I would satirically argue that the Democrats should be commended and praised on how smart they were. To commit successful fraud on the scale that Trump and his followers claim would have entailed –
- banding together thousands of election workers, including never-Trump Republicans, among multiple states toward a common goal without the use of email, texts or other means of traceable communication;
- getting thousands of fraudulent election ballots printed and distributed to hundreds of precincts or election offices without detection;
- convincing manufacturers and distributors of election ballot markers, scanners and other vote counting machinery to modify the voting input without detection;
- involve multiple local, state and foreign governments, including some friendly to Trump, to participate in the election fraud;
- convince Fox News to participate in the fraud by calling Arizona before any other network and later, announcing on air that Biden/Harris won the election;
- and all without a paper or money trail. (I was told by a lawyer early in my professional career “if it can’t be copied or printed, then it doesn’t exist”)
Then I would add the following comments as simple logic –
- Why wouldn’t the Democrats pad the numbers in other states in order to win by a larger margin of electoral votes than just those few battleground states?
- Why wouldn’t the Democrats change the vote count for House and Senate offices to ensure a larger majority in Congress? And why not change a few local elections along the way?
- The problem with our elections is not the actual voting processes, but is with the voters. Humans are too easily swayed by demagogues, misinformation and talking heads on TV and social media who get paid millions of dollars to stir up controversy and increase ratings.
- Trump and his supports blame the “mainstream media” for painting Trump in a bad light. To me, if all of these media dislikes someone so much to gang up on this person, there just might me some truth to their reasoning. And yes, FOX News and any other media outlets and individuals who have sponsors or are paid for their opinions are “mainstream”.
- Trump simply lost because more people voted against him. I and many others do not like, nor support the current Democrat’s platform and many of its candidates. But we disliked Trump and his regime even more. So we cast our votes to get him out and keep him out of Washington.
Is Trump willing to publicly admit the Democrats were way smarter then him? Why aren’t anti-Trump Republicans and high profile Democrats using these same arguments? They need to convince his grassroots supporters that they’ve been snookered by a conman. Trump is simply a whining sore loser.
